gravel cycling
holidays in
Southern Andalucia

“Hola! como vas?”
After half a lifetime in the cycling business, mainly focused on mountain biking, I moved to a quite corner of southern Andalucia, facing the Atlantic and started surfing and riding locally. The gravel trails were infinite and I became more and more interested in exploring all the small roads, via verdes, gravel tracks, vias pequarias, single track and everything in between.
It was fun to fall in love with riding my bike again, in a different way, and although i still need to go ride my mountain bike for a hit of adrenaline from time to time, this Gravel business is pretty damn fun.

3 nights in our yurts, with 4 days riding (3-4 rides depending on how early people can get here on the Thursday).
2 dinners, 1 lunch and 3 breakfasts.
THE RIDING
We will pack everything we can into your long weekend trip and can tailor ride length to whatever you feel like doing, big days out, cruising and seeing the sites, visiting beaches or 100km sufferfests.
All our meals are veggie and homemade with local ingredients, and often things we go pick up from the farmers themselves.
Long Weekend pricing / €499 not including transfers based on private yurt, €450 sharing

La Costa de La Luz “the coast of light”
45 mins south of Cadiz, one of the oldest cities in the west, and with 300 plus days of sunshine a year it’s a pretty ideal place to come ride your bike, especially in those dark days of winter. Our rides all start and finish at home base and branch out from there to the north, south and east. To the west is all Atlantic ocean. We are constantly exploring and finding new loops, new trails, new tracks and new little ‘ventas’ to stop for a snack and a coffee.
WHAT TO EXPECT
WHAT WILL WE SEE?
We offer riding and trips for all levels. We have some amazing hills and climbs but also wandering tracks through what used to be lagoons, many still home to thousands of migratory birds.
We will ride through national parks full of stone pines and cork trees, on open dirt tracks with incredible views, and through pueblos blancos (white towns - famous in Andalucia and Spain for all the houses being painted white).
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
Our 4 yurts are traditional Mongolian yurts composed of a wooden structure and then several layers of fabric, breathable membrane, waterproofing and sheep wool insulation.
They measure 27 and 35 m2 and are placed on raised wooden platforms covered with carpets, which insulate them from the ground and make them a cozy unique space to be.
